Preston Kent Reining, Nathan Kent Performance Horses and Sage Hill Arabians have had an incredible show at the 2013 Arabian US National Show in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
SH Cool Dude
Preston showed SH Cool Dude in the first go of the Half Arab Open Reining and marked a 214, leading the pack after the first go. Two days later he repeated that streak in the second go scoring a 213, also the highest score, making a composite score of 427.
On Tuesday evening Preston drew up first in the Half Arab Open Finals. He had a great ride and scored a 214.5, the highest score of the show up until that point. He held the high score until Tyson Randal showed Paulis Europena and also scored a 214.5. After all 10 riders showed, Preston and Tyson were still tied for first. A run-off was decided between Preston and Tyson for champion and reserve. Preston was up first again. He and SH Cool Dude started their pattern out strong but unfortunately in their second large fast circle, CD stumbled and Preston accidentally dropped a rein. Congratulations to Kevin & Matthew Stains on their purchase of SH Cockadudealou! Thanks Patrick Corrigan of Regal Bay Farm – agent. We are so excited for the Stains, we know they are going to love this sweet gelding. SH Cockadudealou will remain in training with Preston and go to US Nationals in October.
Preston and Dun Bein Smart had a great ride in the Level 1 Futurity at the IRHA reining horse show in Heber, Utah. They finished second place and took home a check of $450. Dun Bein Smart is a 2010 stallion by Smart Chic Olena x Dun Stoppin (x Hollywood Dun It). Owned by Roger & Heidi Eggett.
