preston kent reining horse trainer services

Preston has years of experience starting colts and training show horses. The horses he has started and trained have gone on to win in open and non-pro reining classes and other working western disciplines. We ask for a minimum commitment of 90 days and charge $650 for a month of training. Included in that monthly fee is a high-quality feed (grain) program that we implement.

We are always looking for new horses to add to our training program. Spaces fill up quickly, so the sooner you contact us, the better. Preston trains at the world-class equine facility, Buffalo Ranch Park. We lease stalls at Buffalo Ranch and charge our clients $650 a month for board that includes stall cleaning and twice-a-day feeding. Whether you have a colt that needs to be started, or futurity or derby horse that is ready to show, Preston can help. You can read testimonials from some of Preston’s clients here.

Preston has shown horses for many years now. When our clients are ready to go to a show, Preston offers hauling – at $0.60 a mile – and full horse care at the show, including daily training, grooming, feeding, and stall cleaning for $50 a day. He makes sure the horses are on time and ready for their classes – giving the client lessons before and at the show – and coaching from outside the show ring.

Preston offers private reining lessons to his clients. These lessons are not general riding lessons. Reining experience is required. The lessons cost $100 a session and last about an hour. You’ll learn how to properly maneuver the horse and prepare for shows. The client must provide the reining horse. Preferably the horse is already in training with Preston.

We always have reining horses for sale. Check out our sales page to see what we currently have available.
